Choosing a course
The Taxation Institute offers three courses from the Structured Education Program. Each course is designed to assist your learning and development at various stages throughout your career. The courses offered are:
Foundation Tax (Level 1) | - The introductory compliance course for graduates, new accountants and lawyers.
- Graduates receive one (elective) subject exemption in Bachelor of Taxation at the Australian School of Taxation (Atax) at the University of New South Wales.

Applied Tax (Level 2) | - The intermediate compliance course for tax professionals with a minimum of two years of experience.
- Graduates receive exemption for the CA Program Tax Module.
- Graduate receive 6 units of credit for one of the following postgraduate taxation programs offered by Atax: Graduate Diploma in Advanced Taxation or Master of Taxation or Master of International Taxation.
- Credit for the capstone income tax unit Taxation 531 in the Curtin University, School of Business and Law:
- Graduate Certificate in Taxation
- Postgraduate Diploma of Commerce (Taxation)

Advanced Tax (Level 3) | - The unique course developing high level planning and advisory skills for practitioners with a minimum of five years of experience.
- Credit for the income tax unit Taxation Advanced 569 in the Curtin University, School of Business and Law:
- Master of Taxation
- Master of Commerce (Taxation)
